Sunshine And The Gang
Hey campers!!
At the time of writing this the British Summer is here in full force and the sun is actually shining… yippee!
Seeing blue skies and fluffy white clouds (but not too many of them obvs!) and feeling the sun on my skin… my goodness it is lovely. I’ve recently just gotten back from holiday too, which was absolutely FAB. We enjoyed plenty of walks on the beach, swimming in the sea and the wonderful sea pool at Bude, paddleboarding and a bit of surfing (I still suck!) There was also SO. MUCH. FOOD. but more on that another time!
Another thing that I absolutely love to do in the summer is spend time in the garden and wandering around the local meadows here, which are FULL of buttercups and wild flowers at this time of year and also might explain why there are so many garden themed products in my shop!
Anyone who knows me will know that Sunflowers are my most favourite. They are, in my opinion, the cheeriest flower of them all and a regular at Sunshine Towers. So it was a no-brainer to design and make something to celebrate my love for them. These little Sunflowers are my way of keeping that bit of happiness with me at all times, because, let's face it - the sun doesn't shine all the time! The Sunflowers come in a range of different products, from necklaces and earrings to clocks for your home!
A while ago the wonderful Holly from Holly Booth Studio took these fantastic photos of my work. I’ve got to say, these little plant pots and wellies are so flipping cute. I knew buying teeny-tiny yellow wellies and gardening things would pay off one day! Holly is a wonderful photographer and if you are ever looking for someone to do a professional shoot for you, Holly’s your gal!
Over the years, the Sunshine Garden Gang has grown and now, as well as the Happy Sunflowers you can find Forget-me-nots, Pasqueflowers (the flower of Cambridge!), Buttercups, Cheese Plants. Most recently, the gang grew to include a few of your 5 a day with the cute little carrot, beetroot and broccoli earrings. I’m always in awe of anyone who can grow veggies successfully (I definitely have black thumbs!), which is why I decided to make some teeny-tiny versions that even black thumbs can’t destroy!
Do you have an enthusiastic gardener or flower lover in your life?
